This photo, taken in Gigante, shows some of the local men collecting the garbage for a program called Pueblo Limpio, or Clean Town. This campaign, paid for by local merchants, provides oil drums to be used as trash receptacles and pays for a crew to collect them and empty them at the dump.

In Gigante Pueblo Limpio seems, by and large, to be a success. In San Juan, not so much... Posted by Picasa
